Black Stars coach, Milovan rejects $270,000 compensation after being sacked
Milovan Rajevac, the head coach of the Ghana Black Stars who was fired by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has refused to accept his $270,000 severance pay.
Milovan was fired following Ghana’s dismal performance at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has directed the GFA to conduct an investigation into the work and capacity of the Black Stars’ head coach.
In a statement, Minister for Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif also directed the FA to reconstitute the Black Stars Management Committee.
He stated that the country has lost faith in the team and questioned the coach’s ability.
“The Ministry made it clear to the GFA that the Ghanaian people have lost faith in the current technical team of the Black Stars’ ability to deliver success.
As a result, the Ministry requested that the GFA review the work and capacity of the Black Stars technical team, led by head coach Milovan Rajevac “In a statement, the Minister stated.
He also directed that the Black Stars Management Committee be disbanded by the GFA.
Milovan Rajevac has turned down $270,000 in cash.
