Blacko played in front of a sold-out crowd at Asake’s sold-out concert at New York’s Barclays Center.
The Ghanaian trap star performed a medley of his biggest hits for the overjoyed crowd, who were thrilled to see not only Sherif but also Asake.
This remarkable achievement comes just one day after the ‘Kwaku the Traveler singer was nominated for a BET Hip-Hop award.
At the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, Blacko received his second BET nomination in the Best International Flow category.
Black Sherif will compete for the award against nine other rappers, three of whom are African: AKA and K.O from South Africa, and Sampa The Great from Zimbabwe.
Sherif was nominated in the same category at the BET Hiphop Awards in 2022, but lost to Benjamin Epps.
