A woman has used social media to commemorate 29 years of HIV-positive status. Doreen Moraa, who shared her photo on LinkedIn, stated that it took 16 years of successful therapy for her to survive till now.
Doreen was diagnosed with the virus when she was eight years old, and experts predicted she would only live for four years on this planet.
The lady appears to be in good health several years later, as seen in her photos.
Doreen demonstrates to the world that HIV can be handled if the medication is taken seriously.
she shared the photos and wrote;
“29 years living with HIV.
16 years of being on effective treatment.
I’m still here.
I’m still standing.
I’m still Undetectable.
I’m still showing the world that HIV has changed if you take your treatment seriously.
PS: if you are HIV negative stay that way please living with HIV isn’t a walk in the park.
To the ones struggling with adherence to treatment remember this is an everyday journey take it one day at a time”
