In the past few days, popular Ghanaian TikToker, Asantewaa, and her brother, Kay Verli, have found themselves at the center of a negative trending saga on the internet. What started as a seemingly harmless interaction between an aspiring TikTok influencer and Kay Verli quickly turned into a dark and disturbing situation.
It all began when a 17-year-old TikTok enthusiast named Ama Official paid a visit to Kay Verli’s home, seeking his assistance in gaining popularity on social media. Unfortunately, what should have been a mentoring session took a sinister turn. Allegedly, Kay Verli took advantage of the young girl, engaging in sexual activities with her.
To add insult to injury, Kay Verli reportedly gave Ama Official a meager amount of Ghc150, instructing her to use it to pay for a guest house and cover her transportation expenses from Accra to Obuasi. Feeling exploited and deeply upset, Ama Official reached out to Asantewaa, hoping for support and understanding in her distressing situation.
However, instead of finding solace in her fellow TikToker, Ama Official faced an infuriated Asantewaa. In a fit of rage, Asantewaa not only insulted Ama Official but also threatened to leak her nude videos. Shockingly, the explicit videos of Ama Official were eventually leaked online, and Asantewaa has been accused of being the mastermind behind this viral footage.
As news of this disturbing incident spread, it ignited public outrage and sparked intense discussions on various social media platforms. Many individuals expressed their dismay over the alleged misconduct of a popular TikToker and the implications it has for the industry as a whole.
After days of maintaining silence on the matter, Asantewaa has finally broken her silence. Taking to Instagram, she shared a series of videos showcasing Ama Official admitting that one of her friends named Ama Little was responsible for leaking the obscene video, absolving herself of any involvement.
Although the post has since been deleted, her message was clear: “Please take note… The girl already had an idea about her videos. The second slide shows a convo between the girl and one Naa lady. Please ignore all attention seekers and everyone who never waited to hear my side.”
