In the early hours of yesterday, infamous Ghanaian blogger Bongo Ideas, who is well-known for his unorthodox views on viral issues, entirely dissed the purpose and significance of the Hajj.
According to Bongo Ideas, he believes it is absurd for Muslims to travel to Mecca to observe the Hajj pilgrimage, one of Islam’s five fundamental tenets, alone.
On the bird app, hundreds of Muslims have been outraged by these divisive entries, which Bongo Ideas wrote about on his Twitter page.
The fact that a group of religious people would have to gather at a place every year to have their prayers heard would never make sense!
Unless your prayers can’t be heard in your room, I don’t see why over 2 million people necessarily have to be at a “sacred” place.
The religious tourism argument is great, but the fact that a person’s religious status is tied to a pilgrimage is just incomprehensible.
Are the health concerns of these people also taken into consideration, considering the huge number of people who converge? The air, the space, the bodily discharges, the infections, well!

Some irate Muslim youngsters have promised to give the blogger a painful lesson in the coming days in response to this blasphemy.
They assert that they must use Bongo as a scapegoat because they will not allow his disregard for their principles.
