Several traders fled the market when Angel Obinim and his bodyguards invaded it and poured their fury on the poor ladies, according to information obtained.
One of the victims said in an interview with AMBASSADOR TV’s Awuah Mensah Charles: “Angel Obinim constructed his billboard near the market. We came here the last time and noticed they had placed the billboard inside our market.”
“Angel Obinim bodyguards took away my phone assuming I was videoing what was going on,”
another trader said. They took my phone and fled the scene after brutally beating some of us without provocation.”
“We have reported the crime to the Kenyasi Abirem police headquarters, but we have not received any response,” they continued.
“The Billboard collapsed recently after a heavy downpour, and some of his church members, including some pastors, came for it without checking to see if the billboard had destroyed our goods or injured anyone, so we questioned why they didn’t ask us anything before coming for the billboard, “they said.
“The next day, Angel Obinim and his bodyguards came to the market to look for other metal pieces of his billboard. He stormed in, enraged, and began yelling at us. He threatened us over the billboard, and I told him he couldn’t take the law into his own hands,” said one of the traders.
“Angel Obinim slapped me and his macho goons came to attack me for saying that,” she continued.
