“All my electrical appliances are spoilt because of dumsor”- Otumfour tells Government to fix electricity issues

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu has urged the Minister of Energy to address Kumasi’s power situation.

The Ashanti Regional capital has been facing frequent unscheduled power disruptions, sparking widespread public discontent.

Even the Asantehene’s official residence, Manhyia Palace, has been subjected to unannounced blackouts.

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu has been affected by the power outage to the point where his electronic devices have been ruined.

In a statement, the Asantehene urged the energy Minister, Mathew Opoku Prempeh, who also happens to be his subject, to address the power crisis.

According to Otumfuo Osei Tutu, without power, the economy comes to a halt because many economic activities rely on it.

He also discussed how the power outage had affected his devices.
