Akuffo Addo and Mahama meet face to face at a funeral (photos)
Over the weekend, President Akufo Addo and former President John Dramani met in Koforidua, a town in the Eastern region.
The two leaders were in the Eastern Regional capital to attend the funeral observance of two hardworking sons of the land, which would take place over a week.
Nana Agyei Twinie I, the Executive Officer of Mac Dic Royal Hotel who was also a Traditional ruler in Akyem Abuakwa, passed away and after a one-week funeral observation, the two leaders were both in attendance.
Former President John Mahama paid his respects to the late Oyokohene, Nana Kodua Kesse II, who was also a former Member of the Council of State, at Koforidua Oyoko, where he observed a one-week funeral observance on his behalf.
Despite the fact that President Akufo Addo did not attend, officials from the Eastern Regional Ministry and the Member of Parliament for New Juaben North Nana Agyei Boateng were spotted at the one-week observation of Oyokohene’s inauguration.
Among those present were former President John Dramani Mahama, his 2020 running mate, Professor Naana Opoku Agyeman, Julius Debrah, a former Chief of Staff, and Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, among other party officials.
