Achimota: man shot in broad daylight during a robbery by armed robbers who stole Ghc 20,0000 (video)
Mark Bryon of UTV reported at the scene of the crime that the criminals on a motorcycle followed the woman from the Universal Merchant Bank, Abeka Branch, where she had withdrawn GHC20,000.00, and robbed her.
According to the reporter, the thieves in the act of stealing money from the woman in her car mistook an approaching motor rider for a police officer and fired at him.
Fearing that the robbers would kill the motorcyclist who had been wounded a second time amid warning shots, the woman gave over the money to the criminals, who then raced from the scene on their motorcycle. When a military unit from the region arrived on the site, the robbers were nowhere to be found.
According to the reporter, the man who was shot received a hand injury, while the woman who was robbed was traumatized by the incident.
