A Throwback to how Rihanna fell in love with Ghana’s Kevin-Prince Boateng – Photos
Because of Kevin-Prince Boateng, American-Barbadian artist Rihanna proclaimed her support for Ghana’s Black Stars during the 19th FIFA World Cup held by Brazil in 2014.
On June 16, 2014, when the Black Stars faced the US Male Soccer team, the American “betrayed” her nation by supporting Ghana because she had eyes for the attractive Boateng, who was playing for AC Milan at the time.
On the day of the match, Rihanna shared an adorable picture of Kevin-Prince Boateng on her Instagram profile, which quickly became a popular topic.
“Da Bae doe! I might have to be team Ghana on this one idc idc idc,” she posted with the image of the former Black Stars player.
According to the story, Da Bae doe is a slang word commonly used in Western Florida that could indicate infant, darling, or sweetheart.
Despite Rihanna’s backing, the Black Starts were defeated 2-1 by the United States in their inaugural encounter of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
