Apiate Explosion: Millionaire Ibrahim Mahama supports the rebuilding of the community after donating thousands of food items.
Following the Apiate explosion, which ravaged the town, business entrepreneur Mr. Ibrahim Mahama sent numerous food supplies to the Bogoso community on Monday. Mr. Ibrahim Mahama has also promised to assist in rehabilitating the neighborhood by providing Dzata Cement.
Mr. Daniel Tweneboah, General Manager of Engineers & Planners at Tarkwa Mines, made the presentation on behalf of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama. Bags of rice, boxes of Mackerel, and cooking oil are among the things.
The contribution was delivered to the victims of last Thursday’s explosion in Bogoso-Appiate, a gold mining village in the Western Region, by the Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners on Sunday. On Monday morning, the products landed in Bogosu. Mr. Ibrahim Mahama has promised to help reconstruct the Apiate village when the time comes.
Mr. Daniel Tweneboah, who presented the materials on behalf of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama to the NADMO Coordinator, stated that “the relief items are to assist lessen the terrible effect of the tragedy on the community.”
Mr. Francis Abeiku Yankah, the coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) for Prestea Huni-Valley district, accepted the supplies on behalf of the community and expressed thanks to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for coming to their rescue at such a critical time.
Mr. Ibrahim Mahama was also commended by the chiefs and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Prestea-Huni Valley, Dr. Isaac Dasmani, for coming to the community’s rescue. He stated that this will put a smile on the faces of individuals who were touched by the incident last Thursday.
