“A Muslim wrote my song ‘Hallelujah Hosanna’ for me”- Obaapa Christy
Obaapa Christy, a veteran gospel singer, has said that her current song was given to her by a Muslim friend who admires her work.
During a recent appearance on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, she revealed the news. Her Muslim friend, she claims, has offered to write English songs for her to release and perform in order to advance her career.
“He is still a Muslim,” she answered when asked if the Muslim had converted to Christianity. He is a devout follower of Islam. He adores my work and holds it in high regard. He wrote the song specifically for me. I value him and am appreciative for what he has done for me.”
The Award-winning singer, who is known for a number of successful songs, also stated that all of her songs are spontaneous, which is why she never writes them down before recording them.

She said: “I don’t write my songs…my new song ‘The Glory’ i didn’t write it ooo …Like putting pen to paper even my pen and book got missing way back…I don’t have a pen and a book; so I have never written my own songs…the songs just runs through my head then I quickly go to the studio and produce it.”
