Wiliams Foffie, 29, has been put in imprisonment for three months for his acts, which resulted in a 12-year-old student losing her virginity. Williams Fofie, an ICT instructor at Goaso’s Obiri Yeboah Educational Complex, urged one of her students to come home whenever she needed help with class-related matters on March 4, 2021.
The student, whose identity was withheld due to her age, went to meet the teacher in the teachers’ staff common area and told him about her concerns. Because she was a newcomer to the school, the student was having trouble catching up with the rest of the class.
The girl had recently moved to Goaso with her parents and enrolled at Obiri Yeboah Educational Complex in January, but she struggled to keep up with the class due to a lack of ICT equipment such as a personal computer or laptop to practice what she had learned in class when she came home. Williams, the teacher, offered that the student come to his house on weekends so that she could use the computer he had to teach her.
The student, anxious to learn more, went to her teacher William Fofie’s residence on Saturday, March 13th, and both the student and the teacher had a practical student-teacher ratio.
Williams Fofie employed his male personality the next day, Sunday 14 March, when he forced the pupil to sit on his laps while he coached her with the practical parts.
When the student tried to stop him, Williams told her to focus on the laptop she was using to practice. Fearful of what might happen to her, the student did all her teacher asked while the teacher continued to touch her from under.
When the student was being treated for infections at the Goaso hospital on May 20, she told her mother about the problem. Mrs Adwoa Boatemaa, the Goaso Police, detained Williams Fofie on Sunday, May 23rd, after the student confessed to his mother and physicians at Goaso Hospital on Thursday, May 20th.
When Williams appeared in Goaso Magistrate Court yesterday afternoon, he denied ever inviting the student to his home and said he does not recall the youngster other than as his ICT teacher. The judge asked the student to talk about what William did to her on March 14th, and she did so vividly, as previously stated.

The judge ordered a laptop and a desk, instructing Williams to sit on the desk where the laptop was placed, and the student was able to explain to the court how the teacher, William Fofie, took advantage of her by touching her as she practiced on his laptop, to to the amazement of everyone in the courtroom.
William continued to deny everything the student alleged, and the judge remanded him in custody for three months so that the police could conduct a thorough investigation. Williams will appear in court again on August 23, 2021, for a new hearing on the case.
