Why do you ask mourners if they’re “sad”- Lydia Forson blasts reporters
Lydia Forson has chastised media outlets for their coverage of certain events.
Earlier today, the funeral of the late Christian Atsu Twasam was held on the StateHouse forecourt, where loved ones came to pay their final respects.
Nevertheless, on the occasion, an Adom TV reporter asked one of Christian Atsu’s children how he was feeling about his father’s death, a remark that many Ghanaians have decried.
Lydia, an actress, has also resorted to Twitter to call out media outlets for some unprofessionalism in their coverage of events.
She tweeted, “Funerals are not concerts or for entertainment! Reporters should learn some decorum in how they cover and engage with mourners! How do you ask someone if they’re “sad”?! And shoving cameras in people’s faces and not giving them even a moment of privacy. Like?!!
