“In Ghana, we had our independence too early”- Efia Odo

Given the current turbulence in the country, which is defined by high living costs, Efia Odo has offered her thoughts on the situation in a new tweet.

Efia, who is known for becoming political with most of her recent posts aimed at effecting change in our chaotic system, believes Ghana got independence far too soon.

Contrary to Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s famous declaration on the day of independence, the former Kwese Sports presenter argued that the black is incapable of managing his own affairs.

According to her, the black man exploits the little power he has, which is why whites should have ruled over us for a long time.

“We achieved our independence too soon!” she wrote. Never give a black man power; he will abuse it.”
