“7 years ago i asked Ameyaw Debrah for a job, now I have two Benz; God has been good”- young Ghanaian guy
A young Ghanaian guy has recounted his success story after being turned down for a job 7 years ago when he approached popular Ghanaian blogger Ameywa Debrah.
The young man (known on social media as KojoForex) who has made it in the period of 7 years after reaching out to Ameyaw Debrah in 2014 uploaded photographs of his fancy wheels on Twitter as he told his story.
“7 Years ago, I was in @ameyaw112 DMs asking for a Job. 7 Years on, I own two freaking German Machines, My own House House building & a Healthy Bank Account Bank. Never lose hope, stay true to your grind & you’ll win one day. #Kojoforex,” he wrote.

In response, the blogger who was among the first to publicize Kojoforex’s success story verified the young man’s narrative by detailing the events that led to him refusing him the employment opportunity.
In his own words, Ameyaw Debrah stated:
On Wednesday, December 29, I received a mention on Twitter from ‘Kojo Forex’, who first reached out to me in August 2014 about getting a job. I asked for his credentials and told him I would contact him when I have an opportunity for him.
Later in the year, I advertised that I was looking for reporters/writers to join me when I launched Pulse Ghana, as the project lead and editor in chief. On seeing the notice, he reached out to me again but sadly I had to explain to him that he didn’t qualify for the job because we were looking for full-time staff, and since he was still in school we couldn’t hire him.
The blogger however advised that; “Anything is possible if we work hard at it, but sometimes it’s about finding your path!” as he used Kojo’s story to motivate others.
