A Nigerian man has been arrested after it was discovered that he had impregnated his biological daughter.
A report submitted by the victim at the Ode Remo divisional headquarters led to the arrest of Olaoluwa Jimoh, 45, on September 16 and his detention till further notice.
After living with her father for the last two years, the victim claims that her father forced her to have sexual relations with him at some point in June 2021, when she was not willing.
She went on to say that since then, she has been r*ped on numerous occasions by her father, who has threatened to kill her if she dares to tell anybody about it.
In response to this, a police statement stated, “The 19-year-old victim informed the police that her mother had separated from her father a long time ago and that she had been living with her mother until about two years ago when the suspect invited her to come and live with him.”
When she found that she was pregnant, she made the decision to go to the police station, against her father’s warning.
Following the complaint, the DPO Ode Remo division, CSP Fasogbon Olayemi, immediately dispatched his detectives to track down the culprit, who was arrested shortly thereafter.”
According to Oyeymi, during interrogation, the suspect admitted to the conduct of the act but claimed that he had been duped by the devil to do so.
