Children as young as ten years old can be sentenced to life in prison under a country’s laws, depending on the severity of the crime.
we’ll look at some young people who were sentenced to life in prison at a young age and have spent the majority of their lives in prison without realizing what it means to be free.
Some of these young people committed assassinations, and their parents were powerless to protect them from the law’s wrath. The majority of them have been in prison as adults for many years, and some are now elderly and still being punished.
Because they began murdering at a young age, the only way to stop them is to confine them in prison.
The four children who have been sentenced to life in prison are as follows:
- Tate, Lionel
Lionel Alexander Tate was the youngest person in the United States to be sentenced to life in prison. He was convicted of the murder of Tiffany Eunick, a 6-year-old girl, when he was 13 years old.
- Draper
Draper After being charged with the murder of his classmate Cassey, Brian Lee Draper was sentenced to life in prison. Draper was accused of stabbing the young girl 29 times in total.
- Phillips Joshua
He was incarcerated at the age of 14 after being charged with first-degree murder for the stabbing death of his 8-year-old neighbor.
- Smith Eric,
Eric was sentenced to death at the age of 13 for the murder of a four-year-old boy.
