A 28-year-old Nigerian lady named Rebecca Oyedotun passed tragically after falling the night before her wedding.
On August 19, 2023, she was scheduled to marry Abiodun Oluwadamilare in Oyo State, where the sad event took place.
On August 18, 2023, at around 10:30 p.m., Rebecca, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology (FUT) in Minna, suffered an unfortunate collapse.
Efforts were made to revive her when she arrived at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso. Despite these efforts, her health continued to deteriorate, and on Sunday, August 20, early hours she passed away.
Under the condition of secrecy, a deceased person’s sister-in-law revealed that every detail of the wedding had been carefully planned.
The bride was never available, therefore the ceremony was never held, the sister-in-law continued. “We had bought ewedu to be used, ingredients had been ground, and on the morning of Saturday, amala (yam flour paste) was produced, rice was ready, and the locations were arranged.
Evangelist Oyedotun, the deceased’s father and a member of C&S Reformed Church in the Isale-High School neighborhood, detailed what transpired.
