Oluwabamise Toyosi Ayanwole, a 22-year-old Nigerian woman who went missing after boarding a BRT bus and was later found dead with pieces of her body gone.
According to reports, Bamise boarded a BRT bus with the number 240257 at Chevron bus stop in Lekki on her way home from work on Saturday, February 26, 2022, and proceeded to Oshodi.
Because she was the only one in the bus on the journey, she became anxious and began filming.
Because her mind is racing, she requested that prayers be said for her on video. She reported that the vehicle did not pick up anyone else after she was picked up.
Her loved ones never heard from her again, and she never came home.
When she didn’t return home, her family used the bus’s registration number to track down the BRT bus she had filmed on.
A family member of the missing woman caused a commotion at the BRT bus stop over the weekend, demanding to know what had happened to her.
Bamise’s mother is heartbroken after learning of her daughter’s death.
Oluwabamise Toyosi Ayanwole, 22, was identified today by her family after being abandoned in Ebute Ero with her body parts missing.
Bamise’s mother, who had joined the search for her daughter and hoped for her safe return, received word today that she had lost her child.
She sobbed fiercely despite her loved ones’ best efforts to console her.
While crying, she continued to ask for justice for her daughter.
The arrest of Andrew Nice, a BRT driver suspected of adopting and murdering Oluwabamise Ayanwole, has been confirmed by the Lagos state police command.
According to CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, the state police command’s spokesperson, Andrew was apprehended by DSS operatives and handed over to the police.
The public has been assured that the suspect (driver) would be charged in court and prosecuted as soon as possible.
