11 years old armed robber stabs a 30 years old watchman in Kumasi
Armed robbery cases have been on the rise in recent years, with citizens reporting incidents of armed robbery to security officials virtually every day.
According to a news source, an 11-year-old child allegedly stabbed a 30-year-old security guard for disturbing their robbery preparations at Kokode in the Ashanti Region’s Kwadaso municipality.
According to the source, the 11-year-old youngster has been identified as Aboude3, and his victim has been identified as Kwadwo Ayem.
The victim described the incident by saying that he is a volunteer security guard for the community and that he has been receiving threats from certain bad people in the region for some time, accusing him of constantly getting in their way when they are going for an operation.
He went on to say that he had gone out to purchase kenkey on the day of the terrible incident when he was accosted by Aboude3 and his group, who carried knives and other weapons.
Mr. Ayem went on to add that they began attacking him with their weapons, with one of them racing home to get a cutlass to butcher him.
In an interview, assembly member Hon Wilson Sackey representing the area lamented the increase in robbery attacks in the area, noting that these bandits have been tormenting their life.
He went on to claim that the armed robbers who have been disrupting their life in the area are between the ages of 11 and 26, and that despite their youth, they are quite dangerous and would gladly butcher or murder you if you crossed their path.
Hon Sackey praised the Sofoline Police Department for always rising to the challenge when criminal activity is detected.
